Grasshopper Bank partners with a range of innovative financial technology (fintech) companies to deliver essential banking infrastructure and provide regulated banking services to end users. Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) partnerships enable fintech platforms to offer products such as checking and savings accounts, debit cards, and payment services—while Grasshopper powers the underlying banking functionality behind the scenes.

If you see Grasshopper Bank or our routing number associated with an account or financial service you’re using, it likely means that the platform is powered by our banking infrastructure. This is standard industry practice, and reflects the partnership in place to deliver those banking services. Routing numbers may also vary based on the technology partner supporting the fintech platform you’re using. Some partners leverage different routing numbers as part of how they facilitate account creation and transactions.

  • For platforms supported by Increase, you may see or use routing number: 026015244.
  • For all other platforms (including those powered directly by Grasshopper Bank), you may see or use routing number: 026015024.

While Grasshopper Bank supports the banking framework, your direct relationship is with the fintech platform. To avoid issues with payments or transfers, we recommend checking your account details directly in the app or platform you’re using, or reaching out to their support team for confirmation.

The routing number you use depends on the specific account or service you have with us or one of our fintech partners. Banks may use multiple routing numbers to streamline transactions for different purposes, geographic regions, or, in our case, different technology partners and platforms. This allows us to efficiently route payments for our direct clients as well as for the customers of our various fintech partners.

For Direct Business Banking & Commercial Clients:

  • ABA Routing Number: 026015024
  • This routing number is used for all our direct business and commercial banking clients. It is also the routing number for fintech clients whose programs are powered by Treasury Prime. For more information, click here.

For Fintech Programs Powered by Increase:

  • Routing Number: 026015244
  • Fintech clients whose programs are powered by our API-middleware, Increase, must use this separate routing number. For more information, click here.

If you see our bank name associated with a financial service you’re using, it is likely because we are the partner bank providing the underlying, FDIC-insured banking services. Always refer to the specific account details provided by the fintech to ensure you are using the correct routing number. For more information, click here.
